i have applied polyurethane clear gloss varnish onto my plywood and could u give me advice on what type of sand paper i should use and cos i dont know the name could u show me on google images, and when the varnish is dry on my plywood techniques on how to sand between coats for the best possible finish.

dont use sandpaper, use fine steel wool. Very lightly. Then afterward, wipe off with a tack cloth. Then repeat in between coates. 2-3 times around is good.
