How easy does a window scraper scratch paint?
OK in my area we had a huge snow/ice storm. My boss asked me to clean his car off since I was leaving before him. While I was scraping his windows i accidentally scraped the hood of the car once. Realizing a few seconds after the fact I looked and two extremely small spots where paint had been taken off but I am not sure if it was me or not beacause they were two small cirlces which almost were like some kind of rust.
Anyway my question in general is how easily can a window scraper take off paint and what would the marks look like if they had been made by a scraper. I am kinda worried about it thanks.
thanks for the kinds words that is what i needed to hear. I thought i didnt do it the one mark is as big as the tip of a thin sharpie pressed on the paper and the other one is even smaller.
Yes... it can happen but it would be rather unknowingly or at least thoughtlessly. I once worked at a gas station where we washed windshields. I have seen windows scratched by stones that were in the squeegee by being dropped on the ground. Some customers refused to let us wash their windows.... any wonder why???
Don't worry, if you did chip the paint you did not do it intentionally.
