I love animals and have had a pet for as long as I can remember. However, for many families a living, breathing (pooping!) animal just isn't an option. No matter which of the two sides your family falls on, Hasbro's Fur Real Friends Biscuit My Lovin Pup has become the hot toy idea for this year.

This cute, plush animal is a newcomer to the FurReal Friends product line of toy pets. This engaging and interactive toy pet is ready to keep your child busy for hours without any special setup required. Biscuit comes complete with collar and tag, dog bone, brush and adoption certificate. He comes programmed with behaviors such as nods, whimpers, barks and tail wagging - all of which are very realistic.

And just like a real dog, Biscuit is able to recognize your child's voice and execute six commands that include speak, sit and lie down. I think one of the cutest tricks is when Biscuit shakes hands on demand. And when he sits up and begs, it is sure to melt even the coldest of hearts.

A Few Things to consider

Fur Real Friends Biscuit has a soft coat and pleading eyes. At nearly two feet in height, this oversized plush toy may be difficult for smaller children to carry around. Most small children can still enjoy having Biscuit as a pet, but you should be prepared to do most of the moving of Biscuit for your child. Also, when you give this toy to your child, be sure that you have 6 D-sized batteries on hand since they are not included in the package.

How Biscuit Works

You may be wondering how Biscuit knows to interact with your child. It's all in his nine sensors. Touching his left paw will cause him to raise it and shake hands. If given the command "speak," he will bark in response. There is even a sensor in his forehead that can sense if someone waves something in front of him, and he will flinch, sneeze or blink in response.

Biscuit My Lovin Pup will choose various interaction modes based upon how much interaction he is receiving. After a short while of not being interacted with, Biscuit enters "hangout" mode where he will do some cute behaviors to try to grab your attention. After a further period of non-interaction, he will lay down and go into sleep mode.

Is there something in dog bones that could make a puppy more protective of the bone and it being taken away?

Our puppy acts out violently when we try to take the bone away from her... She is a dominant dog and I dint know if this is natural or if it is an ingredient it the dog dines she is eating. She has target brand raw hide.

Train him asap. my 6 year old daughter can take a bone away from my 85 pound dog. this is important if he picks something up on a walk.
start with substitution, reward him for dropping the bone on command, get him to trust you that he always does better if he listens to you.

once you get him trained to drop it. keep practicing and rewarding.
