Tap and die + diffent between sets?
I was looking to buy a set so i have it if and when needed.
Can someone explain the difference between these 2 sets...

I understand from my research that there are tappered, plug and bottoming taps.
But not sure how the dies in these sets differ.
Im hoping to get by with one set, thinking the cheaper plug set would be most versatile and best set to start with. I work on my motorcycles mostly.
Any thoughts?

You should not use taps to repair damaged threads, for repair you should be using a thread chasing set. I would never buy the cheap sets, they tend to cause more damage than good. The quality of the metal they are made from is terrible and the tolerance on threads is not very good.
